Ishpreet Singh from Maharashtra has won the Challengers India Open Snooker Championship 2021 held at Red Triangle Snooker Academy in Aurangabad after defeating Railways’ player Nitesh Madaan in the final 5-3.

The final wasn’t easy for Ishpreet as he was down 2 frames initially but he held his nerves better for timely recovery and won three frames in a row to lead 3-2. A sea-saw battle moved the score to 4-3 and then Ishpreet hit the winning frame to close the proceedings 5-3.

Earlier today, Ishpreet also defeated Faisal Khan of Railways 4-2 in the semi-finals to book his berth for the final, and on the adjacent table, Nitesh Madaan knocked out current World 6Reds Champion Laxman Rawat 4-3.

Ishpreet was also awarded with Highest Break prize for his break of 131 during the Last-32 Stage match against Piyush Kushwaha of Madhya Pradesh.
