Ajay Rastogi
dies due to Covid-19
It is sad to inform that India’s top-ranked Billiards and Snooker
Referee, Ajay Rastogi, has passed away today. He was exposed to
Covid-19 a couple of days back and was on a ventilator since today
morning. Later in the afternoon, he lost the battle and took his
last breath in the Somaiya Hospital, Mumbai.
Based in Mumbai, Ajay Rastogi, aged 58 was serving for Indian
Railways and had a significant role in nurturing new Referees from
time to time. He trained many referees, who are refereeing in India
and at the international level championships.
Cue Sports India extends condolences to his family and pray that the
departed soul rest in peace.
