Sundeep Gulati
emulates Rehani and Alok Kumar
Delhi based ,
Sundeep Gulati, becomes the third player from India ever to reach
the last 64 of a World Pool Championship by deafting Artem Koshovyi
in Doha, Qatar.
He is the third
Indian to do so and before him, Late Mukesh Rehani had been into
Last-64 of 2003 World 9Ball Pool Championship and in 2011 World
8Ball Pool Championship Alok Kumar had qualified for knockouts and
further moved till Last-32 stage.
In Double
Elimination Format, Gulati had lost his first match to Omran Salem
of UAE but in the losing bracket he defeated Bashar Hussain of Qatar
9-3 and Artem Koshovyi 9-7 to qualify.
The match to
qualify was not so easy and he had to fight hard being 4-1 down.
From that point he climbed up to make it 7-5 down but eventually won
9-7 to enter Last-64.
