DBSA elected new
committee for next three years
Today Delhi
Billiards & Snooker Association (DBSA) conducted the Annual General
Body Meeting where new working committee got elected for next term
of three years. DBSA is the apex body for cue sports activities in
the Delhi Region.
The new committee will be lead by Mr. Vijay Goel as President. Vijay
is a well known face in the cue sports fraternity. He won State
Snooker Championship in the year 2010 and for many years he
maintained his position in top four of snooker playing fraternity of
the state. He also represented India in 2009 Indoor Asian Games held
in Vietnam and he was the part of Indian Contingent for 2010 Asian
Games held at Guangzhou.
Mr. Goel will
reveal his ambitious plans in the next DBSA meeting to be held in
the month of may.
His team comprises of Mr. Ravi Tandon as Secretary and Mr. Akhilesh
Garg as Treasurer. It is a matter of pride that Mr. Tandon is active
since 1977 when the Association was formed. He carry a long history
of many successful championships and programs in the Delhi region.
The committee also has three Vice
Presidents i.e. Mr. Amarjit Singh, Mr. Varun Ahuja and Mr. Manmeet
Bhatia.
Mr. Vivek Pathak and Mr. H.S. Bhogal
will assist Mr. Tandon in their capacity as Joint Secretaries.
Five executive committee members are
also included in the executive body. The names are Mr. Ajay Rehani,
Mr, Ayush Bansal, Mr. Amit Sharma, Mr. Pankaj Khandelwal and
Mr.Jagdeep Singh.
In addition to this, former President,
Mr. Bhupinder Berry, who put in his services for promotion of cue
sports in the state had been declared as Patron and a guiding force
for the new team.
