Malik elected as
President of Lucknow Billiards & Snooker Association

Veteran cueist,
International referee and the Chief Organizer of the 2009 National
billiards & snooker Championship held in the city of Agra in Uttar
Pradesh, 61 years old, ISHTMIT SINGH MALIK was formally elected the
President of the 21 year old, Lucknow Billiards & Snooker
Association today afternoon here at its Annual General Meeting.
Mr. Malik
defeated the other candidate, Mr. Jyoti Swarup Kaul by a decisive
vote margin for the post of the President even as other office
bearers were elected for a two year term of 2012-13 and 2013-14.

newly elected President and the Honorary Secretary using their veto
powers decided to confer Honorary Membership to Asian Gold
Medalists, Mr. Yasin Merchant and Mr. Rafath Habib.
It may be
recalled that Padam Bhushan and former World billiards champion Mr.
Michael Ferreira as also former World billiards champion and
presently Chief National Coach, Mr. Manoj Kothari and Mr.C.P Kacker,
Honorary Secretary,UP Lawn Tennis Association are already Honorary
members of LBSA.
