The Selection will be based on 4 camps
for each of the event and the probables will be from the Top 8 of
Indore Nationals 2008 and Agra Nationals 2009 for Men Billiards and
Snooker and Top 8 of Kolkata Nationals 2008 and Delhi Nationals 2010
for 8 & 9 Ball Pool.
For Ladies 6 Red Snooker, it will be
from the Top 8 of Indore Nationals, Agra Nationals and Inaugural
Bangalore 6 Red Nationals. For 8 & 9 Pool, it will be for Top 8 of
Kolkata Nationals 2008 and Delhi Nationals 2010.
Players are allowed to play Billiards
and Snooker in Men but not in any of the above events in Pool. Pool
players will be separate. The same will be for women.
The first camp just concluded at
Bangalore for Men players for Billiards and Snooker. The next camp
for Billiards and Snooker for Men will be at Goa and all the other
camps for Men and Women will be held at Bangalore, dates will be
announced later. All players participating in the Selection camp
will start with point zero.
The total number of participants in the
Indian Contingent for Cue Sports will be finally decided by IOA and
Ministry of Sports.
