Ist Session Highlights (Final)
The first session of the final was all Mike Russell, the defending and 8
times Champion. Geet Sethi, also a former 5 time Champion set off with 3
early breaks, with Russell contributing a 176, there was then a short
series of safety play with Russell ending this with a triple century.
When the evening session starts, Sethi will need to improve his game to
get even close to Russell.
IInd Session Highlights (Final)
In the second session, although Geet scored 119 more points, it was all
Mike Russell, securing his 9th World Title.

Ist Session Highlights (Semi Final)
Mike Russell vs. David Causier :: Causier started the match in
better form than defending Champion Russell, but following Russells 209
at visit 8, the scores were more or less level. The scores remained
approximately level until the 18th visit, when Mike Russell
made a delightful 492 break, to take him into the second session some
450 ahead.
Geet Sethi
vs. Chris Shutt :: In a close first session, it wasn’t until the 20th
and 22nd final unfinished visit that Geet Sethi, a former
multi-world champion, edged ahead, leaving the spectators to look
forward to an interesting final session.
IInd Session Highlights (Semi Final)
Mike Russell vs. David Causier :: In the second session Mike
Russell converted his unfinished break to 231, and with a further double
century left David Causier to much to do. So Russell continues to the
final, looking for his 9th World Title.
Geet Sethi
vs. Chris Shutt :: In the second session, it was counter attack by
counter attack right up to the last 12 minutes, and when Sethi came to
the table with the scoreboard recording 1291 points each, his
subsequent break of 103 was the deciding factor, and although Shutt did
get back to the table, he was double baulked, which left Geet at the
table when the final time bell rang. Geet Sethi, in tomorrows final,
will be endeavouring to win his 6th Professional World Title.
