Himanshu Jain earns the Pro-Tour Card

Himanshu Jain earns the Pro-Tour Card by winning the Qualification Match at the Asia-Oceania QSchool Event 2 held in Bangkok Thailand. In the final, he defeated Kritsanut Lertsattayathorn of Thailand 4-3.

In order to earn this tour card, Himanshu won two crucial matches where he was trailing considerably and then made a remarkable recovery to win the deciding frames 4-3.

In Last-32, he defeated Muhammad Altaf of Pakistan 4-0 and then in Last-16 against another player from Pakistan, Asjad Iqbal, Himanshu was trailing 1-3. From there he sent a strong recovery to win 4-3. The Quarter final match Himanshu secured by winning 4-1 against Ehsan Heydari Nezhad of Iran.

Today in the qualifying match, Kritsanut obtained 2 frames lead when Himanshu recovered and secured the next three frames to lead 3-2 but Kritsanut levelled the match by winning the sixth frame to set the decider. In the decider, Himanshu was down by 42 points when he started recovering to win the match and confirm the Pro-Tour Card ticket for the next two years.
