Pankaj Advani confirmed his berth for the semi-finals of Asian Snooker 2021 by defeating player from Iraq, Alijalil Ali 5-3. With that, he confirmed the medal for India and now will compete to confirm the colour of that medal.

Today his quarter-final match ran for nearly 5 hours where he lost the first frame but in the second, he fought very hard to secure the frame by 8 points.

Ali curtailed him in the third frame and maintained his lead but once again Pankaj countered Ali very well to win the next three frames with a break of 64 points to take a 4-2 lead.

However, he slipped the seventh frame but again Pankaj cornered Ali in the eighth frame to win the match 5-3.

Pankaj will now take on Cheung Ka Wai of Hong Kong, who knocked out Saleh Mohammed of Afghanistan in another quarter-final match 5-1.
