2019 World 6Reds champion, Laxman Rawat will now be representing India at the upcoming Asian Snooker Championship 2021 scheduled from 12th September in Doha, Qatar.

He is replacing former Asian and current national snooker champion Aditya Mehta who could not participate due to Covid protocols.

Asian Snooker is the first major international championship for Indian cueists after this long gap of Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns. Qatar has set protocols that are required to be followed by all travellers to Qatar. Fully vaccinated is one of them. Since Aditya is vaccinated with a single dose, hence his entry is restricted.
