Though he
was not played good in the morning, but in third session Shyam
Jagtiani remain the cause of big upset of today in Whistling
Properties Asian Qualifying National Camp 2011. Jagtiani
blanked the national champion Alok Kumar in straight set of
games 3-0. He dominated the match by hitting century break in
the first game itself. Alok made some 71 in the second game
but Jagtiani did not allow him to go ahead of him and won the
second game too. In third game also Alok managed only 31
points on board and lost 0-3. With this loss, Alok had two win
so far out of four matches.
In
morning session, Pankaj Advani took on Shyam Jagtiani and
defeated him 3-1. first two games of the match saw breaks of
96 and 100 by Pankaj Advani. In other match, Alok Kumar
defeated former World Champion Alok Kumar 3-1. Alok started
with a break of 96, but Shandilya replied the same with a
century break to level the match. In the next two frames, Alok
did not offered any chance to Shandilya and won the match 3-1.
Last
night setback of losing the match continues for Dhruv, as in
the second session, Geet outplayed him straight 3-0. Though
the match did not see any big break but Geet capitalized
whatever he getting on table. Third frame Dhruv tried to make
a comeback and was very near to win that game, but he falter
by mere 4 points from where Geet overtake smashing 74 break.
Rupesh
Shah finally registered the first win in third match he
played. He beat B. Bhaskar of Karnataka in decider game. Down
first game, Rupesh won next two games with 61 break in second
game. Bhaskar, then, smashed a 97 break to pull Rupesh into
decider, where Rupesh seal the match 3-2 scoring 100-04 in
last game.
In the
last session also, Geet won his match in straight set 3-0.
Second game Bhaskar shown some brilliant billiards but could
not stand in front of Geet’s storm.
