The Best Laid Plan

 

Some years ago, when credit cards were not common, Kiran and I were in Sydney airport after completing a tour in New Zealand. We had spent 499.20 dollars out of the 500 dollars that we had with us. We landed at Sydney airport with less than one dollar in our pockets for the connecting flight to Mumbai. On reaching the airport, we discovered that our flight had been delayed by eight hours. So what? With the eighty cents we had left, we shared a most enjoyable cup of coffee.

 

The issue really is about the desire to be in control of oneself, one’s feelings and one’s needs. It makes no sense to work yourself up to a frenzy trying to control everything you can and worrying about what you cannot.
