19 Year old Ng On Yee of Hong Kong created history today at the IBSF World Snooker championship as she became the youngest player to lift the World Ladies Snooker title against veteran Kathy Parashis of Australia 39 years her senior. With this victory, she has scripted an astounding chapter in the history of women snooker, which has never witnessed a 19 year old lifting the world title.

It was a near massacre of the 10 times Australian Open Snooker (Women) Champion, Kathy Parashis as her deserving opponent routed her by 5 frames to 1. The second and the only frame which Kathy managed to pull out was a result of a simple last black missed by Ng On Yee resulting in Kathy having to pot a simple black about 8 inches from the top pocket.

The highlight of Ng On Yee’s performance was her exceptional potting along with copy book safety which was enough of lethal combination to rout her opponent.

For the bronze medal, Bi Zhuqing of China defeated Ramona Belmont of New Zealand by 3 frames to 1.

In the master’s event which concluded last night, Darren Morgan of Wales swept away the match by 6-0 against Dene O’ Kane of New Zealand.

For 3rd place in Master’s Simon Zammit of Malta defeated Costas Konnaris of Cyprus 3-1 (50-64, 66-23, 80-13, 57-08).
