Rishabh to reach round of 32 at CCI Open Snooker

Sanchis shocked Rishabh Thakkar 4-3 in the round of 64 knockout
match of the CCI Open Snooker Championship ongoing at Cricket Club
of India, Mumbai.
The national women's snooker runner-up was confident and shown
consistent potting against seasoned Rishabh Thakkar to come out
victorious 45-39, 51-60, 61-46, 59-22, 32-75, 28-59, 61-44, winning
the final frame on the pink ball.
In other matches, Maharashtra State No. 1 Sparsh Perwani staged a
fight back to defeat Rovin D'souza of Railways 4-to advance to the
round of 32. Perwani held his nerves much better in a tense
situation and won 48-66, 16-65, 50-41, 67-63, 63-54, 58-57.
Former Asian Snooker champion Aditya Mehta of IOCL lost the first
frame but recovered to overcome Faisal Khan of Railways 4-1. Mehta
scripted a 33-58, 67-28, 49-32, 60-22 and 64-17 victory.
Meanwhile former national 6Reds No.2 Rahul Sachdev of Maharashtra
crafted century break and scored highest break of the tournament 106
in the second frame against Ashutosh Padhy of Odisha. However, he
lost the match 2-4 after that.
