Malav marches ahead in Gujarat State Ranking
The Winsome
Realty Gujarat State Open Ranking Billiards & Snooker Championship for 2015 had
its 2nd day today. The event is jointly organized by Rajpath Club Ltd. and
Gujarat State Billiards Association (GSBA).
The Senior Billiards event is a 100 points best of 3 format & the Sub Junior
Billiards event is a 30 minutes game format. Whereas Junior Snooker event which
has a best of 3 frames format took off today morning.
In the Sub Junior Billiards event, the final match of the round robin stage was
between Sahil Radhani of Sports Club and Mitul Baldania of Pool Master. Radhani
displayed much powerful game and showed his good potting skills than his
opponent. Radhani who always maintained his leading never let Baldania to
overtake, won the Sub Junior Billiards title at 80-60 with a 20 points margin.
While Baldania concluded as a runner-up.
In the Senior Billiards event, Malav Parikh of Rajpath Club, who is the current
Senior Billiards 4th seed and Junior Billiards Champion, won his 2nd round match
very comfortably against Sunny Jain of Ellisbridge Gymkhana and entered the pre
league stage. On the other hand 3rd seed Nakul Patel of Rajpath Club had to
fight it out against Meherzad Bhagwagar of Orient Club in the decider game to
enter the top 8.
