05.08.2015 :: Raghav creates first upset in Gujarat State Ranking

The Winsome Realty Gujarat State Open Ranking Billiards & Snooker Championship for 2015 had the balls rolling today. The event is jointly organized by Rajpath Club Ltd. and Gujarat State Billiards Association (GSBA).

The Opening ceremony was held today, morning at the Rajpath Club Billiards Room in the august presence of all the sponsors and office bearers, the tournament was declared open and the inaugural shot was been played by the Chief Guest.

The Senior Billiards event which is a 100 points best of 3 format & the Sub Junior Billiards event which is a 30 minutes game format took off today morning at 9am. The very first match of the tournament in the Senior Billiards was the highlight of the day. Raghav Agarwal of Ahmedabad Gymkhana who is a young upcoming player & Gunjan Patel of Rajpath Club who is a seasoned cueist and current Gujarat No. 4 in Snooker, had their first match against each other today morning. Raghav Agarwal with his very serious approach to the game, took off very well and claimed the first game 100-72. The second game was tight but Raghav with his continuous neat potting sealed the match at 100-92.
