Gujarat State Open Ranking Billiards & Snooker Championship 2015
The Winsome
Realty Gujarat State Open Ranking Billiards and Snooker Championship for 2015
will begin from today 5th August 2015. The event is jointly organized by Rajpath
Club Ltd. and Gujarat State Billiards Association (GSBA). The Opening ceremony
is being held today, 8:30am at the Rajpath Club Billiards Room in the august
presence of all the sponsors and office bearers, the President of Rajpath Club
shall be declaring the tournament open.
A total of 234 players from all over Gujarat would be participating in this
prestigious event. The event will be played in 3 different categories:
Sub-junior Billiards and Snooker, Junior Billiards and Snooker as well as Senior
Billiards and Snooker.
In the Senior Billiards event, defending champion Abhimanyu Gandhi has the top
seed and Chintan Shah has secured the second seed. Other talented players like
Nakul Patel and Malav Parikh have secured the third and fourth seed.
In the Junior Snooker event, defending champion Johnson Narsidhani has claimed
the top seed and Dhanraj Solanki has secured the second seed. Other promising
players like Malav Parikh and Bhavin Sonaiya have acquired the third and fourth
seed. Other skilled players such as Karan Bhandari, Raghav Agarwal Mrugank Shah
and Akhil Rajani would be participating in the event.
In the Sub-junior Billiards event, promising youngsters like Rayan Shah, Pious
Shah and Mitul Baldaniya will be participating.
The Senior Snooker event will begin from 8th August; defending champion,
Bhadresh Panchal is the top seed and Johnson Narsidhani secures the second seed.
Yagnesh Merai and Gunjan Patel have secured the third and fourth seed. Other
well-known players like Abhimanyu Gandhi, Prashant Soni, Malav Parikh, Tushar
Sahay, Dhaval Makwana and Meherzad Bhagwagar would also be participating in this
event.
All the matches shall be played from 9am to 1pm & 7:30pm to 10pm at the Rajpath
Club Billiards Room. Top two players in each event will be representing Gujarat
State at the forthcoming National Championship in January 2016.
