Haryana State Ranking Snooker and Billiards Championship 2014 started with some good matches. The Sub Juniors matches started today at Rimi Cue Club SCO 22, Sector 11 PKL. In the opening match, Sharad Chawla defeated Chandramaa 2-0. Throughout the match Sharad displayed excellent potting skills and maintined his lead. Although Chandramaa tried to close down the gap, but Sharad potted an excellent pink in the first frame to take the initial lead. Sharad did not give many chances in the secon frame to take the match 2-0. In an another match loacal lad Naman Verma won an easy match over Nakul 2-0. Naman maintained his cool and killed his opponent with some excellent display of potting and positional play.

 

The Senior Snooker Category of the Haryana State Ranking Snooker and Billiards Championship 2014 started at Club 147 - SCO 136, Sector 14 PKL. In the opening match Kartik Mehta defeated Naveen Dhiman 3-1. Naveen made a wonderful opening hitting reak of 34 to take the initial lead. But then Kartik Mehta Slowed down his opponent with some brilliant safety exhibition. Naveen could not match his opponent's intelligent playing pattern and started making easy mistakes. Kartik then compiled good breaks of 39, 44 and 37 in three consecutive frames to seal the match 3-1 in his favour. In the second match Gaurav Garg defeated the junior Ankur Dadhiya 3-1. Gaurav took the first frame with a good break of48 points. Ankur then fought back to take the tight second frame on the black ball. in the next two frames, Gaurav did not spare his opponents as potted some excellent balls and took the match 3-1.
