28 January 2013: Ishpreet lifted maiden National Sub-Junior billiards title

Ishpreet Chadha lifted his first National Sub-Junior Billiards title today when he defeated Jagadesh B. of Tamil Nadu here in the Manisha National Billiards & Snooker Championship 2013 being held at Jiwaji Stadium, Gwalior (Org. by Gwalior District Billiards and Snooker Association).

After the first 30 minutes of play Jagadesh was enjoying lead of 49 points when Ishpreet converted the chance he got into a controlled break of 73 points to come ahead of Jagadesh. After that Jagadesh had few chances but couldn’t utilize those chances and clearly evident that pressure started mounting on him. Already ahead Ishpreet kept his calm and composer to maintain his lead and finally claimed his first maiden national title.

In the prize distribution Ishpreet mentioned that his break of 73 points as his best ever break that he produced in a final under tremendous pressure.

Earlier today Ishpreet defeated Nikhil Pise (Karnataka) by a margin of 97 points to reach into the final whereas Jagadesh B. (Tamil Nadu) defeated M.L. Laxman of Karnataka 262-115.
