Varsha retained her Sub-Junior Billiards title but failed to
save snooker
Today sub-junior
girls’ event for Billiards and Snooker started in Manisha
National Billiards & Snooker Championship 2013 being held at
Gymnasium Hall of Jiwaji University, Gwalior (Org. by Gwalior
District Billiards and Snooker Association).
Varsha Sanjeev
entered into arena to defend her both the titles and started
well in Billiards. Firstly she outplayed Niharika Pandey
(Rajasthan) by 76 points. After that in the final Varsha met
Delhi’s Keerath Bhandaal and defeated her by 67 points to
defend the title. In the other semi final, Keerath knocked out
Doyel Dey (West Bengal) 119-41.
Later in the
evening in Sub-Junior Snooker category the final remained a
tough one where Varsha and Keerath demonstrated brilliant
shots and moved into decider frame. In the decider Keerath had
upper hand and she registered her claim on Sub-Junior Snooker
trophy. Arya Pimpale (Maharashtra) and Doyel Dey (West Bengal)
remained No.3 and 4 respectively.
While filing the
report, Senior Billiards Final match is still going on where
Alok Kumar (PSPB) leading over B. Bhaskar (Karnataka) 4-3 in
Best of 9 games match.
