Malkeet Singh stepping towards title
Malkeet Singh
from Uttar Pradesh won back to back two matches in Round Robin
stage and will play tomorrow last league match eyeing for
winning the Junior Snooker title of Manisha National Billiards
& Snooker Championship 2013 being held at Gymnasium Hall of
Jiwaji University, Gwalior (Org. by Gwalior District Billiards
and Snooker Association).
In the morning
session match Malkeet Singh got tough fight from Nitesh Madan
of Delhi but Malkeet replied on every challenge set by Nithesh.
Throughout Malkeet played exceptionally well kept winning
frame over frame to register 4-Nil win first Round Robin
match.
Later he repeated
the same story but this time against Rahul Sachdev from
Maharashtra and defeated him 4-Nil. Unlike Nitesh, Rahul
failed to deliver any tough challenge and had no other option
rather bowing down to Singh. Before that Rahul had defeated
his state-mate Vishal Vaya in the decider frame 4-3.
Tomorrow last
match of Round Robin will be played between Malkeet Singh vs.
Vishal Vaya; and Nitesh Madan vs. Rahul Sachdev.
In Senior
Billiards category, Rafath Habib (Railways), Dugra Prasad
(Railways), Ishpreet Chadha (Maharashtra) and Jaiveer Dhingra
(Maharashtra) have qualified for the main round.
Today the
Qualifying round of Senior Billiards has also begun where 47
players are taking part for 4 slots available in main round.
