DOUBLE CROWN FOR SAMEER BHALLA IN SENIOR CATEGORY AND PRATEEK THAKRAL IN JUNIOR CATEGORY.

Sameer Bhalla won the Senior Snooker title for the third year in a row defeating Ankur Nanda by 4 frames to 3 in the 24^th Haryana State Billiard and Snooker Championship being held at Haryana Billiards SCO-37 Sec-11 Panchkula .The first frame Sameer Bhalla started with the break of 44 points and another break of 32 points in the second visit, Ankur conceded that frame but came back very strongly in the next 3 frames hitting breaks of 38, 32 and 40 and winning all the 3 frames leading 3-1 in the best of 7 frames. Ankur needed only 1 frame to win the match whereas Sameer Bhalla needed all the 3. Sameer playing his best ever game and potting well with the cue ball control won the next 3 frames and the match.

In the Senior Billiards Final Sameer Bhalla defeated Himanshu Aggarwal 2 frames to 1.In the First Frame both the players were playing with the utter safety potting each others cue ball and keeping Red inside the baulk line. Both the players were on level at 72 in the 150 points frame. Sameer played an extraordinary canon and got a very good position and hit a break of 46 points and another unfinished break of 32 points and won the frame 150-72.In the next frame again Sameer Bhalla being in his best touch hit small breaks of 28 , 26 and 29 was leading with a good margin, Himanshu tried his best but could not come near to Sameer and lost the Frame as well as the match.

In   the junior Billiards and Snookers category Prateek clinched both the titles defeating Abhishek in Junior Billiards and Nitin Sharma In junior Snooker. Prateek played the whole tournament with good spirit and good touch ,and hit some good odd breaks of 40 , 38 and 32in junior Snooker category.

In Sub-Junior Snooker Shubham defeated Damanpreet 2-1 in the Finals, but in Sub-Junior Billiards though playing very well and hitting good breaks of 31 and 28  lost to Gaurav Dhingra by 2 points.

In the ongoing Haryana State Billiard and Snooker Tournament defending champion Sameer Bhalla and Third ceded Ankur Nanda reached the finals in the Senior Snooker category. Sameer Bhalla outclassed Karan Dheer in the Quarter-Final winning all the three frames. In the first Frame Karan Dheer showed some good class by potting and hit a break of 31, Dheer was leading by 19 points on the colored balls but Sameer had some other intensions And cleared the table from yellow to black and won the Frame. The other two frames Dheer was not playing his game and lost the match. In the next match Sameer Bhalla defeated Aneesh Saini in a very close match. Sameer won the first Frame on the black ball but Aneesh bounced back and won the next 2 frames hitting breaks of 41, 37 and 31 leading 2 frames to 1.Fourth Frame was a see-saw battle as both the players were very cotious and were playing very safe .Aneesh got a chance and hit a break of 36 and was leading by 41 points then Bhalla potted an excellent red and replied with a unfinished break of  49 and won the frame.In the decider frame Bhalla dint gave any chance to Aneesh and won the frame and the match convincingly.

In the second Semi-Final Ankur Nanda playing in his rhythm defeated Vishal Mor 3-1. Ankur won the first frame with a big margin but Vishal bounced back and won the next Frame . The third Frame Vishal played his best but could not match with the luck of Ankur. Ankur potted yellow ball with a fluke and got the green and the brown on the pocket again he potted blue with the fluke and got a pink and black easy to pot and won the frame.Fourth frame was in the favour of Ankur throughout the end and he won the frame and the match.

In the Senior billiard Himanshu Aggarwal made an upset defeating to the defending champion Anil Sharma by 2-0.Himanshu the upcoming player showed a class game and was leading in both the frames.The first frame he won 150 -138. The second frame he won by 150-141. In the second Semi-Final Sameer Bhalla defeated Aman Goyal by2-0.

Ankur Nanda And Aneesh Saini  reaches Semi-Final in Senior Snooker category of Haryana State Billiards And Snooker Championship being held at Haryana Billiards SCO-37 Sector-11 Panchkula in the first Quarter-Final Ankur Nanda playing his best defeated Deepak Mighlani  (3-1). In the first Frame Ankur hitting breaks of 28 and 26 maintained a good lead upto the colored balls. Deepak needing 3 Snooks to come back in the game conceded the Frame when Ankur potted Yellow and Green. In the second Frame again Ankur showing the consistent potting did not give any chance to Deepak and won the Frame convincingly , the third frame Deepak mighlani bounced back and hit a break of 47 and snatched the frame from Ankur. The fourth Frame Deepak was nowhere near to Ankur and lost the frame as well as the match.In the Second-Quarter Final Aneesh Saini defeated Vikas from Gurgaon (3-0).Though Vikas was playing the best in the last 2 matches and was showing excellent potting but against Aneesh he could not play his natural game and gave too many chances to Aneesh which he Capitalised well and hit good breaks of 39 , 37 and 32 and won the three Frames and the match.

In the Senior Billiards League Sameer Bhalla toped his pool defeating all the four opponents and Anil Sharma was second winning 3 out of 4 matcches , whereas  Himanshu Aggarwal and Aman Goyal were No 1 and No2 in there Pool .Now Sameer will play with Aman Goyal in the first Semi-final and Anil Sharma will play with Himanshu Aggarwal in the second Semi-Final.

3^rd ranked Ankur Nanda started off the senior snooker event in a winning style. Ankur had to did deep into his reserves to clinch the match in a decider . Ankur won the first frame hitting a break of 47 in the initial frame. But his opponent Vaibhav from Gurgaon showed brilliant potting skills to win the next frame . Ankur then took the advantage winning the third frame . Vaibhav stayed calm and again came back to make the score even at 2-2. In the Decider, Ankur eventually won the frame on the pink ball to take the match 3-2.

Local lad Vishal Mor stormed into the quarter finals of the Senior Snooker State Ranking 2010 defeating Gurpreet Singh 3-0. Vishal has showed tremendous improvement this year compared to last year’s performance. Vishal struggled initially but managed to win the firat frame on the black ball. Again in the second frame, vishal won a tough frame on the pink ball. But then suddenly, he started potting balls brilliantlty in the third frame . Eventually Gurpreet conceded the frame to the might of Vishal . In another encounter, Deepak Mighlani beat Kapil Khaneja 3-0 .Deepak won a tight firat frame on the black ball. In the second frame , Kapil came back strongly to gather a lead of 22 i\on the coloured balls. But he did not have the run of balls on his side. A misplayed safety shot by Kapil on the brown ball resulted in Deepak clearing the rset of balls to take a 2-0 lead. Deepak then won a close third frame to win the match 3-0.

In the Senior Billiards league, Sameer Bhalla beat Ishaan 2-0 . Ishaan started off on a good note gathering a lead of 37 odd points . But the seasoned campaigner Sameer had other ideas in mind. He made an unfinished break of 52 to take the first frame 100-79. In the second frame, Sameer showing his class did not give much of a hance to Ishaan to take the frame 100-43.  In his second match Ishaan learning from his mistakes, defeated Gaurav Bharti 2-0 to keep his hopes alive in the event. He made some good offs and potted sometough balls to win 2 close frames 100-95 and 100-80.

Karan Dhir made an upset defeating Gagan from Kurukshetra 3-2 in the Senior Snooker Category  of Haryana State Ranking Championship being held at SCO 37 Sec 11 PKL. Gagan started off brilliantly hitting a break of 45 in the opening frame .He looked flawless. Karan came back strongly in the second frame clearing the table with an excellent break of 39 .The match was more like a sea – saw. As Gagan again came back to snatch the third frame from Karan’s grasp . In the fourth frame Gagan missed an easy black ball in the end. Karan made full use of it and potted a difficult long Black to make it 2-2 . In the decider, Karan did not give any chance to Gagan and led by 47 on the coloured balls. Gagan eventually conceded to the class of Karan Dhir.

In another exciting match, local lad Puneet Gaind got the better of Saurabh(Gurgaon) . Puneet won the match  3-1. Saurabh started off well initially . But Puneet had other intentions in mind . He overcame the pressure brilliantly to snatch the next 3 frames . Puneet played some excellent safety shots in the middle of the match . Saurabh lost the cool and started missing easy shots. Puneet made full use of it to advance in the next round of Haryana State Senior Snooker Championship 2010.

In the Senior Billiards League, Defending champion, Anil Sharma lost to former champion Sameer Bhalla in a thrilling encounter. Sameer won the first frame 100-95. The second frame went to Anil Sharma 100-85. In the decider, Sameer Bhalla got the better of Anil Sharma by winning frame and match 2-1 . In another match Aman Goyal from Gurgaon defeated Anshul 2-1 . Aman won the first frame convincingly. Anshul did well to take the frame of the hands of Aman 100-93 . But Aman keeping his cool in the decider won the match.

Vineet Chauhan once again showing his temperament made an excellent come back defeating Aman Goyal 3-2. In the first Frame Aman was leading by 32 points with 3 reds on the table , Vineet doing an excellent potting brought the lead to 8 points when  Blue Pink and Black were on the table.Vineet missed the Blue Ball which Aman potted well and made a lead of 13 points. Vineet potted Pink and Black and the score was equal. On the double Black Aman got a chance and potted the black ball and won the frame.            The second frame Aman showing an excellent potting made a breaks of 29 and 21 and kept a lead throughout the frame and won.the frame leading 2-0 in the best of 5 frames.In the next 3 frames  Vineet Chauhan played very cautiously and with the cue ball control he did not give any chance to Aman and won the next 3 Frames and the match.

In another match Puneet got a better off Sumit and won the match 3-1.In the first Frame Sumit looked to be in good touch hitting breaks of  28 and 25 won the Frame convincingly. In the next 3 frames Puneet getting his touch and showing excellent potting maintained good lead in all the three frames and won the frames and the match.

The Senior Billiards League started today in the first match Former Haryana Champion Sameer bhalla defeated Aneesh Saini 2 frames to won of 100 points each of best of 3frames. Sameer Bhalla hit odd breaks of 32, 27 and 39. In the second match the defending Champion Anil Sharma playing in his rhythm defeated Aneesh Saini by 2-0.In the first frame Aneesh was leading by 21 points but Anil Sharma hitting break of 22 and unfinished break of 27 won the frame 100-79.In the second frame Anil Sharma showing his class won the frame by 100-45.

The 4^th day of the Senior Snooker category of Haryana State Billiards and Snooker Championship belonged to the seasoned player Vishal Mor . He defeated Asim and Former Haryana no 2 Parveen Rathi. In both the matches he was trailing by 2-0 and won both by 3-0. In the first match Asim from Kurukshetra dint gave any chance to Vishal and hit a Break of 43 in the first Frame and 37 and 35 in the second Frame. But Vishal More getting his control on the cue ball played very safe and showed good potting and won the next three frames. In the second match he repeated the same story.In the first Frame Parveen Rathi hit a break of 55 and in the second frame again he hit a break of 47 and won the first 2 frames. But Vishal fought back well and hitting few small breaks 23,21 and 27 he won the next 3 frames. In another match Deepankar Singla defeated Amit Ahuja with an ease. Though The First Frame Amit Ahuja won by clearing the table from Green to black but Deepankar Singla won the next three frames giving no chance to amit Ahuja.

In the Junior Snooker Event Prateek and Nitin reached the finals defeating Raja Dhingra and Chirag Arora. Prateek the Defending champion played the whole tournament in his rhythm and good temperament. Whereas Nitin shocked the second seed Chirag Arora defeating him 2-1.

Sub-Junior and Junior Snooker Final will be played on 1^st august 2010.

Vineet Chauhan  upsets Rohit Bansal in senior snooker event on the 3^rd day of Haryana State Billiards and Snooker Championship is being held at HARYANA BILLIARDS sco-37 sector 11 panchkula. In the first Frame Vineet showing no class of his game gave a few easy chances of breaks to Rohit which he capitalized well and hit breaks of 31 And 26 And won the frame. In the second frame Rohit playing in his rhythm made another good points and won the frame but next three Frames Vineet playing safe did not give any chance to Rohit and won the match. In another match  Gagan Manchanda from Ambala shocked Seasoned player Gaurav Bharti 3-1 Gaurav won the first frame with a big margin but could not manage in the next three frames and lost the match 3-1.

In the junior snooker Sumesh outclassed Sahil From Panipat winning the match 2-0. Sumesh showing his temperament won both the frames with ease.

On the2nd day of Haryana State Billiards and Snooker Championship being held at Haryana Billiards SCO 37 Sector 11 Panchkula , Prateek Singla reached Semi-Final in Sub-junior Snooker category defeating Prince And Bharat Sharma. In the first match Prateek was lucky enough to get the first frame on the black ball , in the second frame Prince keeping his cool and getting his touch played a very good game and snatched the frame from Prateek . In the decider Frame both the players were playing a very safe but Prateek got a chance and hit a break of 21 points and dint give any chance to Prince. Prateek won the match with a frames score 2-1. In the another match Sahil from Panipat could not show his natural game and lost to Sarvesh 2-0.

In the Senior Snooker event Gurpreet Singh got a better off Deepak Singla in a nail biting finish. Gurpreet won the first 2 Frames very convincingly but Deepak as he is known for his fighting spirit came back well and equaled the score 2 each winning the next 2 frames. In the deciding frame Gurpreet got some good positions which he capitalized very well and won the frame and the match.

24^th  Haryana State Billiards and Snooker Championship started today at 4 pm in Haryana Billiards, S.C.O- 37, Sector-11, Panchkula. In the inaugural match in Sub- Junior snooker event Amber Sharma defeated Jatin Sharma with 2-0. In the first  frame Amber playing his best and hitting breaks of 17 and 19 did not give any chance to Jatin And Won the First Frame conviencingly. In second frame Jatin keeping his cool played little safe and showing good potting made a lead of 13 points in the colored balls but Amber Sharma potting the colored ball from yellow to black snatched the frame from Jatin and won the match. In the second match Vithal Rungta gave a scare to Damanpreet but Daman capitalized his potting well and won the match 2-1. In the First Frame Daman was lucky on d black ball which Vithal missed and gave Daman right on the pocket. In the second frame Vithal playing his best won the frame very easily , the third frame was a see-saw battle but Daman needing both pink and black to win  potted tboth the balls and won the frame and match.
