Sapre stuns Chandu Shah

Nikhil Sapre of Dadar Club stunned fancied Chandu Shah in the opening round of the Goldfilled Open Handicap Snooker Tournament at the Catholic Gymkhana on Saturday.

Shah (+40), of PJ Hindu Gymkhana, squandered a 1-0 advantage after snatching the opening frame but fell back in the second frame as Sapre (+55) capitalized on a substantial lead.

It was a close third and deciding frame that could have gone either way, but Sapre held on as Shah faltered at crucial moments in an early upset in the competition.
