India's lone snooker professionalist Aditya Mehta is the only player who wins all his league matches in "PCL-Manisha Open and Invitational Snooker Championship 2009" being played at the  Poona Club. Prior to this Shahbaaz Khan and Alok Kumar recorded upset wins over Top seeded Martin Gould of England and second seeded Anda Zhang of China to keep the Indian Flag flying high.

In a Group A league match Shahbaaz Khan overcame a break of 129 in the first frame to score an upset 3-2 win over world no 46th and top seeded Martin Gould of UK 00-129(129), 65-25, 63-57, 00-96(68), 65-35.

In a Group B encounter bespectacled Alok Kumar upset second seeded Anda Zhang of China 3-2 (65-63, 16-62(61), 78-32, 27-73, 56-10), however in the evening session Alok Kumar could not keep up the same tempo as he went down fighting to Lucky Vatnani. Vatnani scraped past 21-85, 53-52, 16-83, 97-21, 51-22.
