Top seeded Martin Gould, Second seeded Anda Zang, Third seeded Manan Chandra and fourth seeded Aditya Mehta started their campaign on a winning note at the 4th edition of the "PCL-Manisha Open and Invitational Snooker Championship 2009" at the  Poona Club.

In their opening matches Martin Gould put out Kanishak Janjaria of Indore 103(49)(54)-08, 89(59)-00, 80-38 while Anda Zang of China beat Harisha Mirchandani of Mumbia 64-60, 58-44, 89(63)-32.

Faizal Khan displayed good form to put out Martin O’Donnell of England 78-28, 95(71)-16, 02-69, 65-00 to register a creditable victory.

Aditya Mehta outplayed PCL Manish Open Tournament Winner Rafat Habib 65-45, 84-(56)-42, 82-(61)-45 while Manan Chandra scrap past Open Tournament runner-up Manish Jain 56-44, 56-63, 87-25, 53-57, 65-42.
