Mirchandani, Singh, Gandhi score upset win to enter pre-quarter round

 

Unseeded Rohit Gandhi of Nagpur, 18th seeded Harish Mirchandani of Mumbai and 12th seeded Pushapendar Singh scored upset wins to enter the pre-quarter round at the 4th edition of the "PCL-Manisha Open and Invitational Snooker Championship 2009" in collaboration with Manisha Construction being organized at the Poona Club tables.

 

In the Super League round matches played today Rohit Gandhi toppled 17th seeded Sachin Sancheti of Hustlers62-40, 30-55, 44-27 while 18th seeded Harish Mirchandani of Mumbai upset 6th seeded Divya Shrma of Tamilnadu 57-32, 69-16. In another upset match 12th seeded Pushpinder Singh of Delhi out played 10th seeded Rushabh Jain of Dadar 58-47, 59-46 to make it to next round.

 

Top seeded Rafat Habib, second seeded M.S.Arun of Chennai, 13th seeded Roshan Mirchandani of Mumbai, 15th seeded Sonu Gurudatta of Poona Club, 4th seeded R.Girish of Railway, 25th seeded Nishad Ghowghule of PYC Hindu Gymkhana were also make to the pre-quarter round from their respective groups.
