Defending champ Manan Chandra was in good touch against Shravan Mohta rattling breaks of 73 and 91 in his 4-0 win. Shravan was playing well giving a few snookers but Manan grabbed every chance he got. In the morning Mohta had beaten Faisal Khan 4-1.

MS Arun, winner of two matches on the opening day, lost his third against Alok Kumar 1-4 but not before giving the veteran a few posers. The Karnataka player has still a good chance of qualifying

Shahbaz fight back to beat Rupesh

If MS Arun gave the Rs.3.10 Lakh Nahar Group-MIG Club invitation snooker tournament a great start beating India No 3 Sourav Kothari double junior national champ Shahbaz Khan made day two memorable when he beat international Rupesh Shah 4-3 in group 'D'. Despite being 1-3 down Khan made a comeback of sorts against his opponent from Railways. When Rupesh missed a yellow in the fifth frame it proved costly as Khan cleared the table. Shah was unable to reclaim his wonted touch after that and lost to one who promises to be as versatile as him having won both the junior snooker and billiards titles in 2008 as Rupesh did in his youth. Said Shahbaz: "The 78 break in the fifth frame boosted me." His next hurdle is his senior Devendra Joshi.
