Haryana State Ranking Billiards & Snooker championship 2008 has begun today at HARYANA BILLIARDS, SCO 37 (Basement), Sector 11, Panchkula.

In the inaugural match Anand Sharma defeated Rajbir Singh from Ambala 3-1, In the first frame Rajbir hit a break of 31 and maintain the lead of 19 points till the green ball but the luck was with Anand Sharma he Potted the Green with fluke and cleared the table potting Brown, Blue, Pink and Black. In the Second frame Rajbir Singh keeping cool hit another break of 35 but couldn’t match the luck of Anand Sharma again. He lost the frame on the Black ball. The Third frame somehow Rajbir won but the forth frame Anand Sharma getting his touch and too the frame and the match easily.

In the second match Umesh Aggarwal outclassed Gurvinder Singh an another participant from Ambala winning the Three frames in a row. Umesh Gupta hit Breaks of 37,32 and 29 whereas Gurvinder in the Third frame replied with a break of 34.

In another match Deepak Chopra from Panipat showing his class defeated Pankaj Kataria 3-0 though Pankaj kataria played well but could not match the clean potting of Deepak chopra.
