ONGC's Sourav Kothari makes Grand Double
Wins Individual Billiards & Snooker at Inter-Petroleum Cue Sports Meet

Current World Billiards No.2 & Arjuna Awardee,
Sourav Kothari made a grand double in the PSPB Billiards and Snooker
Championship in Chandigarh by winning the both the individual
Billiards and Snooker titles. In Billiards, he started his campaign
in splendid style by routing current World Champion Pankaj Advani by
3-1 games followed Rupesh Shah and Aditya Mehta en route to the
championship title while in Snooker, he defeated Brijesh Damani,
Digvijay Kadian and Manan Chandra en route to the snooker title.
Pankaj Advani is the only player apart from Sourav Kothari ever to
have won a Grand Double before this.
In the Billiards Final, Sourav defeated Aditya Mehta in a tight
match which went down to the wire as Sourav Prevailed by a score of
3-2 frames.
In the Snooker Final, Sourav was pitted against former National
Champion Manan Chandra who was no match for Kothari's resilience and
determination bowing out 3-0 in the best of 5 encounter.
