Advani wins all
three nationals second time; Kamani emulates
Meenal
India’s ace cueist
Pankaj Advani becomes the only cueist two win all
three nationals titles (6Reds, Billiards and Snooker) in a row.
After having won the all three in 2009-10, Advani did the same this
year i.e. 2016-17 by claiming National 6Reds, Billiards and Snooker
second time in a row.
Similarly, women World No.2 Amee Kamani also
emulates Meenal Thakur, who apparently won these three national
titles alongside Pankaj Advani in the same period i.e. 2009-10.
Let’s come back to last night performance, Pankaj Advani thrashed
the South Central railways player E. Pandurangaiah in the final
winning first six frames in a row and claimed his 29th National
title. In women’s category, Amee Kamani got better against Arantxa
Sanchis of Maharashtra 4-2 to claim the title.
