Manish Jain
BECOMES WEST BENGAL
STATE BILLIARDS & SNOOKER CHAMPION
Kolkata based,
Manish Jain, today knocked out another player from the city, Mohd.
Shoaib Khan to add the snooker title in his kitty where he put the
Billiards title last week.
Manish, who reached the final after winning one-sided semi final
4-0, over Sarfarazudding, had a shaky start with first frame lose
against Shoaib. But he did not took much time in settling down
himself and countered with next two frames win with an ease. More
so, he imposed a magnificent break of 81 points to raise the lead by
3-1. In fifth frame he was quite close to wrap up the match but on a
break of 31 points, he miscalculated a shot and stuck up with
touching red-ball and later lost the frame.
In the last frame, both were at par, but a brilliant snooker placed
by Manish gave him 44 points, which were enough for him to continue
ahead and wrap up the match to lift snooker title as well.
Final Score: Manish Jain beat Mohd Shoaib Khan :: 4-2 (31-56, 45-24,
67-29, 81(81)-0, 41-58, 68-30)
