Most successful
trip for Indian cueists
In one of the most
successful or probably the successful trip for Indian cueists
remained this 2015 IBSF World Billiards Championships at Adelaide
from where the contingent is returning home with 12 medals in bag.
The Championships started in Adelaide on 20th September having four
formats, the 150-Up, Timed, Women and Junior Boys.
The young boys did excellent by making a clean sweep as all four, S.
Shrikrishna, Ishpreet Chadha, Kaavya Bharath and Jagadesh B. reached
in the semi finals and Shrikrishna won the title defeating Ishpreet
Chadha.
In women's category, Arantxa Sanchis won the championship defeating
R. Umadevi and Meenal Thakur remained the bronze medalist.
The men championship in 150-Up had a bit disappointment where
India's ace cueist Pankaj Advani couldn't defend his title and
settled for silver but in timed format Advani defeated Peter
Gilchrist to defend the title by a huge victory margin and joint
bronze shared by Rupesh Shah and Siddharth Parikh. Sourav Kothari
