Aditya wins maiden Gold in World Games 2013

India's Professional Snooker Player, Aditya Mehta made India proud by winning maiden Gold Medal in 2013 World Games in Snooker discipline. He defeated Liang Wenbo of China (Rank 35) in straight set of frames 3-Nil.

Aditya disclosed his intentions from the opening frame only where he cracked with a break of 84 points to gain initial lead. He maintained the momentum in the next frame where he made an excellent clearance of 40 points to put himself 2-Nil ahead of Wenbo.

Wenbo had the only chance in third frame to stay in competition, but before he could do anything, Aditya crafted another massive break of 117 points to seal the match and won Gold medal for India. This is the first time India participated in World Games Snooker discipline.

"Delighted Aditya mentioned this as his career’s best performance."

Before final, Aditya defeated other professional snooker players Dechawat Poomajaeng from Thailand (Ranked 64) in Semi Finals 3-1, Joe Perry from England (Ranked 19) in Quarter Final match 3-2.
