Pakistan Snooker team gets Indian
visa and need fiscal Assistance
The Pakistan
Snooker Team have got the Visas from Indian
Embassy for the participation of IBSF World Snooker Championship
2009 to be held at Hyderabad, India from 15 to 25 November 2009.
"The Pakistan
team will depart on 12 November from Karachi. We have also collected
no objection certificate from Pakistan Sports Board and federal
sports ministry" said Mr. Alamgir A. Shaikh President of PBSA.
A Special
funding of 40% of the total expenses has been released by the
Ministry / Pakistan Sports Board which is insufficient for the
expenses pertaining to the participation of the Pakistan Snooker
Team in the above forthcoming IBSF World Snooker
Championship. However, we have forwarded a written appeal to the
Honorable Federal Minister, Secretary Sports and the Director
General, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to intercede in the matter and
release the compulsory full amount of our submitted financial plan
for the said event.
