Short format is thrilling and future of Sports!

 

 

Delhi Billiards & Snooker Association conducting 2nd Delhi School Snooker Championship 2009. Prior to this, DBSA also organized a three days (18-20 June 2009) coaching camp, where Subhash Agarwal, the National Coach for Billiards & Snooker coached the budding cueists and hone their skills.

 

During the camp, Mr. Agarwal was more focused on the shorter version of game. He said "The new format is very unpredictable. Anybody can win and we want to train our cueists to compete in these shorter versions. It is already becoming popular amongst youngsters"

 

BSFI had already introduced point format for Billiards in Indian National Championship and likely to introduce 6 red snooker in the next year Nationals i.e. 2010.

 

However, the popularity of 6-Red Snooker gets the entry into Asian Indoor games to be held this year in November in Vienna.
