IBSF Board
Meeting
It was during the 6 Reds Tournament
organized by the Thai Federation that the Board of the IBSF decided
to hold its IBSF meeting. This was an excellent opportunity to
evaluate the preparations for the competitions, financial report and
all matters relating to the administration and management of the
Federation.
One of the most important decisions
without any doubt, was the agreement to present to the IBSF AGM a
new Constitution to be voted on by the General Assembly at the World
Championships in Austria in November.
This Constitution is entirely new and
modelled on the Olympic Charter and will after its adoption by the
IBSF AGM, give finally to our Federation a legal framework in
perfect harmony with the criteria required by the IOC. It will in
addition be protection to the IBSF, of its name and image, conduct a
genuine anti-doping policy, which is now a cornerstone of modern
sport.
The member countries of the IBSF will
have greater responsibility and become key participators in the
promotion and development of our sport.
It is a Constitution that permanently
confirms our activity as a sport and not as a leisure game.
All members of the IBSF will soon be
receiving the full text of the Constitution and I will be happy to
assist anyone with any enquiries that they may have.
