Event for U-21 Girls in IBSF World U-21 Snooker Championship
Vascon Manisha IBSF World Under-21
Snooker Championship 2007 – The unique feature of this
championship is, this time it has been decided to introduce separate
event for under-21 girls This event is introduced on recommendation
given by BSFI President Capt. PVK Mohan to Mr. Pascal Guillaume, the
President IBSF and for this event a separate prize money of US $2000
is to be given to top three ladies cueists. Under-21 Girls from New
Zealand, Iran, China, India, France, Ireland, Wales, England & Spain
are participating. Delhi’s 10 year old
Keerat Bhandaal is the youngest cueist amongst all girl
participant. She is being coached by National Coach,
Mukesh Rehani and DBSA Coach H.S. Bhogal.
This World Under 21 Snooker championship
is starting on 21st August, just on very next day to the
Birthday of Former Indian Prime Minister Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, who
has given a new lease of life to Cue Sports by inaugurating World
Billiards Championship way back in the year 1985 (the championship
in which Billiards Maestro, Geet Sethi won his first world
championship).
